John Nodson has been named new vice president of market research for The Marx Group. Nodson came to The Marx Group in 2009 after 35 years with Standard Motor Products. He was worked as a market and strategy specialist for the past two years.
“John is a highly respected industry professional who understands the vital role of data research for making informed strategic marketing and business development decisions,” says Tom Marx, company president and CEO. “With his experience in the automotive, heavy-duty, and commercial vehicle markets, clients benefit from his broad knowledge of the industry.”
According to Marx, Nodson will be responsible for leading the company’s expanding market research department.
Nodson started at Standard Motor Products in 1974 as a territory sales manager. From 1998 until he left the company in 2009, he acted as director of marketing and as business development manager for the Engine Management Division.
