Volvo and UAW reach tentative agreement

Volvo Trucks North America and the United Auto Workers have reached a tentative agreement on terms of a new five-year contract to cover approximately 1,300 UAW members at Volvo’s New River Valley, Va. plant.

Both sides are currently withholding comment pending ratification of the deal by UAW Local 2069 of Virginia. Volvo assembles VN and VHD trucks at its New River Valley Plant.
