Meritor Inc. has appointed Michael Boe, managing director, Aftermarket, Europe, responsible for developing and implementing business growth and profitability strategies for the aftermarket business in Europe. He replaces Maurice Haft, who elected to retire after 33 years in the automotive and commercial vehicle industries.
“Michael’s vast experience in Europe and extensive background in the commercial vehicle market make him ideally suited for this position and the perfect successor to Maurice,” says Joe Mejaly, vice president and president, Aftermarket & Trailer.
Boe was previously European Aftermarket Sales director and is succeeded in this role by Luca Govean, who was previously director, Business Development, Aftermarket, Europe. Govean started at Meritor in April 2009 as sales manager, Trailers, Europe, and was later appointed general manager.
Boe joined Meritor in July 2007 as director, Sales, Aftermarket. In 2009, he added Trailers and Customer Service to his responsibilities. Prior to joining Meritor, he held positions of increasing responsibility at Delphi Deutschland, Siemens VDO Trading, Mannesmann VDO AG and Philips Denmark.
