DOT seeks research help from small businesses

The U.S. Department of Transportation announced that it plans to seek innovative proposals from small businesses to address research needs facing DOT’s agencies.

DOT’s Research and Innovative Technology Administration/John A. Volpe National Transportation Systems Center is releasing the final fiscal year 2012 solicitation for its Small Business Innovation Research program. The solicitation, which will contain eight research topic descriptions, will invite small businesses to submit research proposals no later than June 5.

The solicitation is available online at www.volpe.dot.gov/sbir.
