Peach State Truck Centers, parent company of Peach State Ford Truck Sales and Peach State Freightliner, recently acquired the assets of Liberty Truck Sales of Birmingham, Ala. The new dealership will operate as Birmingham Freightliner.

“The acquisition of Birmingham Freightliner was a natural fit for us at Peach State,” says Rick Reynolds, president of Peach State. “It offered us the opportunity to expand our existing Georgia market area with the adjoining market in Alabama. We are better positioned to serve our customers traveling east-west on the I-20 corridor.”

In addition to new and preowned truck sales, Birmingham Freightliner has a repair shop consisting of 20 bays and offers certified workmanship on Detroit, Cummins and CAT engines. Additionally, the dealership offers a full-service body shop consisting of 18 bays and a down-draft paint booth. The body shop performs collision repairs and frame/wheel alignments.

Birmingham Freightliner will offer preowned vehicles through SelecTrucks of Alabama. “Our current SelecTruck operations, SelecTrucks of Atlanta and SelecTrucks of Georgia, are recognized as leaders in the industry, and we expect SelecTrucks of Alabama to have the same impact in the Alabama market,” Reynolds says.
