Skinner Diesel Services has reached its 30th year in business providing parts and service to the commercial vehicle aftermarket.

The business was started in Ohio in 1982 by Mike Skinner. The company now operates two parts and service locations in the Columbus, Ohio area with more than 40,000 sq. ft. of service bays and 40 technicians. Skinner Diesel has been a member of HDA Truck Pride since 2000, and is said to be a full-service repair facility specializing in radiators, driveline, alignments and brake relining. Skinner Diesel’s trailer shop also is said to provide services ranging from standard PMs to heavy welding and fabrication. Skinner Diesel’s locations are open until midnight on weekdays and noon on Saturdays, the company says.

“We offer the extended hours of service because that’s what our customers need and expect, so they can get their vehicle back in service without delay,” says Mike Skinner. “Consistent, reliable service — that’s what this business is all about and that’s what we strive for every day with every customer. We’ve been a family-owned business for 30 years and looking forward to our future growth.”

Skinner Diesel also operates four additional businesses that complement the core truck and trailer parts and service operation: Commercial Radiator Shop provides radiator and heat exchange repair; Columbus Auto Electric rebuilds rotating electrical components; Columbus Joint and Clutch specializes in clutch and driveshaft repairs for medium- and heavy-duty vehicles; and Yard Truck Rental provides yard trucks for deliveries.
