Dealer Development Workshops Set For Aug. 23 In Dallas

Successful Dealer will be hosting two dealer development workshops designed specifically for truck and trailer dealers and their top managers.

The workshops will be held at the Dallas Convention Center on Thursday August, 23, 2012.

The first session — How To Sell Your Company For What It Is Worth — will help you determine what you need to do to avoid pitfalls during the business valuation process. Tom Marx, CEO and founder of Marx Group Advisors, will provide important actions you must take to get the best value for your company.

Seminar attendees will learn:

  • How to determine what your company is really worth
  • The difference of value when selling in an inside vs. an outsider
  • Key metrics to determine the value of your company
  • Ways to improve those metrics to gain a higher value

This session will run from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The second session — Ensuring Succession Planning Success: Developing Managers For The Future — will address way a dealership can develop the leadership talent needed to ensure the dealership’s continued success.

Chuck Udell, senior partner in Essential Action Design Group, will lead this interactive session which will take place from 3:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
