Nick Staub was installed as the chairman of the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA) during their recent “International BIG R Show” in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 27-29, 2012 at Bally’s Hotel.
“This is quite an honor. My father, John Staub, was chairman of APRA back in 1986, and was a member of APRA since 1948, so it is really nice to follow in his footsteps,” Staub says.
Staub has been in the remanufacturing business since 1982 when he joined Romaine Electric. Nick took over as president in 1989.
Romaine Electric has 110 employees in 11 locations, five distribution centers and six retail shops. The company remanufactures rotating electrical, rewinds armatures and rotors, manufactures new armatures for OEM and the aftermarket and manufactures new 50 DN stators.
“I’m honored to be selected by my peers to serve as chairman. My goal is to reach out to the small rebuilder and help grow our membership base, making our industry stronger by uniting all segments of our industry toward our common goal. Successfully leading the association into the future and taking advantage of the brain trust available to us is an opportunity that I look forward to,” Staub says
He will serve as APRA chairman until November 4, 2013 at the conclusion of the next International BIG R Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
