Arnold Transportation Services, a regional carrier owned by U.S. Xpress Enterprises, andLinkAmerica Corp. will merge into a joint company effective next month.
The new company, which will operate under the Arnold name, is expected to employ more than 1,800 drivers and will be jointly owned and operated by U.S. Xpress Enterprises and Tenex Capital Management.
Through the merger, Arnold will expand its market base, operating more than 1,400 trucks and 5,000 trailers with nearly $220 million in annual revenue.
Upon completion, the merger will make Arnold Transportation Services the 32nd largest truckload operation in the United States.
