The Minnesota City Kwik Trip now offers compressed natural gas, making it a hub for local businesses like Fastenal looking to cut costs and power their fleets with a cleaner fuel.
“The fuel is basically half the price of diesel,” Fastenal’s national logistics manager Chris Duffenbach told the Winona Daily News before the grand opening event Wednesday.
Fastenal operates six semi trucks daily that run on the fuel, and they recently ordered a seventh, Duffenbach said.
