Supplier CEOs elected to MERA Board of Directors

The Motor & Equipment Remanufacturers Association (MERA) elected three industry leaders – Jerry Boles, CEO, Boles Parts Supply Inc., Jack Bowser, CEO, Rebuilders Automotive Supply Co. Inc., and Woody Knopf, CEO, Knopf Automotive, LLC – to the MERA Board of Directors.

The MERA Board of Directors consists of 19 leaders in the remanufacturing industry.

Jerry Boles is the chief executive officer and founder of Boles Parts Supply (BPS), headquartered in East Point, Ga. BPS is a full-line global core supplier and industry leader in recycling and core management programs for the aftermarket remanufacturing industry.

Boles has held various positions with automotive organizations in the remanufacturing industry throughout his 50-year career. 

Jack Bowser serves as the chief executive officer of Rebuilders Automotive Supply (RAS), headquartered in Coventry, R.I.  RAS has been an industry leader and a full-line core supplier for the automotive remanufacturing industry for forty years.  He joined RAS in 2003 as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to RAS, Bowser served as CFO for both public and private concerns, and brings a broad depth of knowledge of complex financial and operational situations.

Bowser earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Rhode Island and an MBA in finance from Providence College. He is a member of the Financial Executives Institute and Supply Chain Management Professionals plus the University of Rhode Island and Providence College alumni associations. 

Heywood “Woody” Knopf is the chief executive officer of Knopf Automotive, LLC, headquartered in Red Bank, N.J. He joined his brothers Marshall and Michael in the predecessor to the present company—M&M Knopf Auto Parts, Inc.—in 1982 as chairman. Together, these companies have been industry leaders for over 60 years. Before joining the Knopf organization, Woody was the co-owner of MJWC Rebuilders, a regional rebuilder of rotating electric assemblies.

Knopf earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the City University of New York and an MBA in finance from Fordham University.
