Honeywell to buy Intermec

Honeywell has announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire Intermec for $10 per share in cash – a $600 million deal. The transaction is expected to bolster Honeywell’s scale in rugged mobile computing devices.

Upon completion of the transaction, Intermec is expected to become a part of Honeywell’s automation and control solutions business.

The deal is expected to close in June 2013.
