A lawsuit against the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Compliance, Safety, Accountability (FMCSA) filed in July 2012 by the Alliance for Safe, Efficient and Competitive Truck Transportation (ASECTT) — among other parties — progressed last month when plaintiffs filed written arguments with the U.S. Court of Appeals.

ASECTT is suing FMCSA on the grounds that the agency cast aside its responsibilities to carriers, brokers and shippers with the CSA program.
