Diesel fuel prices drop for sixth straight week

Diesel prices declined for the sixth consecutive week according to a Monday report from the Department of Energy.

Prices slid 0.7 cent to $3.911 a gallon, marking a decline of 23.9 cents from a more than four-year high of $4.15 set Oct. 15, 2012. However, the fuel remains above the same week last year – 8.3 cents above as of this week.

Diesel has dropped in 11 of the past 12 weeks.
