Meritor’s McClure to present Reman award

Meritor president and CEO Chip McClure will deliver the keynote address and present the 2013 ReMaTecNews “Remanufacturer of the Year” award presentation at ReMaTec2013, June 16 – 18, in Amsterdam.

McClure will speak on the state of the remanufacturing industry before an audience of exhibitors and invited guests during the award ceremony reception on the evening of June 16.

McClure joined the Meritor in 2004, also having served as CEO, president and a member of the Board of Federal-Mogul Corporation.

Before joining Federal-Mogul, McClure served as president, CEO and a member of the Board of Detroit Diesel. He joined Detroit Diesel in 1997 after 14 years in a variety of management positions with Johnson Controls including vice president and managing director of the company’s European and South African operations during which time he was located in Dusseldorf, Germany. McClure later became president of the company’s Americas region.

The ReMaTecNews “Remanufacturer of the Year” award honors a person or business that has served the automotive or heavy-duty remanufacturing industry with particular distinction. Nominees must demonstrate a commitment to technical excellence and quality.

Other factors include outstanding customer service, pioneering activities and dedication to the promotion of automotive and heavy-duty remanufacturing.

MERA will also host an executive overview and dialogue on the global vehicle aftermarket at ReMaTec2013, June 16. Marcus Zahren, key account manager and product manager, for Polk Germany, will share the latest intelligence on the global vehicle population, with a focus on the growth potential for remanufactured parts.
