Consolidated Metco (ConMet) has received the Daimler Supplier Award for 2012.
ConMet was honored for its performance in interior plastic components, which include instrument panels, interior storage systems and door panels. This is the second time in three years that ConMet has received the Daimler Supplier Award. For 2010, the company was recognized by Daimler for its outstanding performance in supplying exterior plastic components.
“We are very proud to receive this award,” noted ConMet President Ed Oeltjen. “It demonstrates our commitment to supplying the best quality products through collaborative design, superior product development, advanced manufacturing techniques and excellent customer service.”
Daimler AB recognizes the best performing suppliers in terms of technology, quality, cost, and supply annually. This year’s awards ceremony was the highlight of the themed event “Night of Masterpieces” in the Mercedes-Benz Center Stuttgart.
Dr. Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars expressed gratitude to the suppliers gathered there in recognition of their teamwork and their contribution to the records achieved in the 2012 business year.
“You are not just our key suppliers, you are also our key supporters,” he said.
In addition to interior plastic parts, ConMet also supplies Daimler commercial vehicles with exterior plastic components, lightweight aluminum castings, brake drums and rotors and low maintenance hub assemblies.
