Daimler Trucks North America announced its 12 Detroit distributors who have won the company’s “Race to Charlotte.”

The winners will enjoy an all-expense-paid trip for two to the Dollar General 300 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on Oct. 11 with the Detroit Genuine Parts Racing Team to cheer on Sam Hornish, Jr. in the No. 12 Detroit Genuine Parts Ford Mustang.

The competition, hosted by Daimler Trucks North America and Detroit Genuine Parts, awarded top selling distributors for sales made between May 1 and August 30, 2013.

“The Race to Charlotte Challenge was a great way to engage the Detroit distributor network with some friendly competition and showcase the quality and value of our Detroit Genuine Parts lines to new and existing customers,” says Todd Biggs, director, aftermarket parts and service marketing for Daimler Trucks North America.

The winning 12 distributors are: Central Power Systems locations in Liberal, Kan., Liberty, Mo. and Bowling Green, Ky.; Florida Detroit Diesel, Panama City, Fla.; Stewart & Stevenson, San Antonio, Tx.; Valley Power Systems locations in Mira Loma, Calif. and San Diego, Calif.; Wajax Power Systems locations in Moncton, NB and Redcliff, AB; Western Branch Diesel locations in Manassas, Va. and Portsmouth, Va.; and W.W.
