Andrews, former Stemco president, passes away

Richard Andrews, former president of Stemco and leader in the heavy duty aftermarket for decades, passed away Sunday, Feb. 9 following an extended illness. He was also division president of EnPro Industries, Inc., Charlotte, NC, the parent corporation of Stemco

Andrews’ also played an active role as a facilitator during the early years of Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week, an active participant in industry activities, a long-time member of the Heavy Duty Business Forum, an active member of HDMA, a board member of CVSN, Phillips Industries, the Longview, TX Chamber of Commerce, the Longview, TX Economic Development Corp. and the HD Xchange.

In 2012 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Heavy Duty Truck Industry, and in 2013 he was selected as distinguished alumni for Vincennes, IN Lincoln High School.

He retired from Stemco in 2007.

Arrangements for Richard’s funeral services are expected to take place this coming Thursday and will be available soon.

Funeral services were held Feb. 13 at Greggton United Methodist Church.
