Link Manufacturing earns EMS ISO registration

SRI Quality System Registrar has recently awarded an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) certificate to Link Manufacturing Ltd., located in Sioux Center, Iowa, for the environmental management system related to the design and manufacture of cab suspensions, auxiliary suspensions, chassis suspensions, and accessories..

“We are pleased to acknowledge that Link Manufacturing Ltd. has demonstrated the effective implementation of an environmental management system,” says Edward L. Maschmeier, director, Certification at SRI. “ISO 14001 certification provides evidence to customers, suppliers, employees and to nearby communities of the commitment that Link Manufacturing Ltd. has to meeting its environmental responsibilities.”

ISO 14001 was established as an internationally recognized standard to which organizations could obtain certification, and demonstrate an effective environmental management system.

An EMS can stand alone, or be integrated with other management systems. When a company has implemented an effective EMS, it shows a commitment to good environmental practices, conservation of input materials and energy, attainment of necessary permits and authorizations, as well as the intent to maintain good public/community relations, Link says.
