Speedco announces new president

Trucking lube and tire center Speedco introduced Chris Rapini as its new president. Ripani succeeds Scott Damon who was recently named president of Firestone Industrial Products.

Ripani, who began his career at Bridgestone in 2001 as a territory sales manager for Bridgestone Commercial Solutions, will lead Speedco’s new growth strategy.

At Bridgestone, Ripani also served as channel marketing manager; director of marketing, communications and services; director of marketing, strategic brands and channels; and executive director of marketing, Bridgestone Commercial Stores Division.

Prior to joining Bridgestone, Ripani worked with Bauer Built, Inc., CarMax, Falken Tire Corporation and Sears Tire Group. He earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Columbia College, Chicago and completed leadership and strategy programs at University of Phoenix, Vanderbilt University and Harvard University.

Speedco, a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, provides on-highway truck lubrication and routine tire services to commercial truck owner-operators and fleets.
