Phillips & Temro appoints new president

Thomas M. Moser has been named president of Phillips & Temro Industries (PTI), succeeding Harry R. “Butch” Sumpter.

“We are thrilled to welcome an executive of Tom’s caliber to PTI,” says Jeff Fox, Chairman and CEO of Harbour Group, PTI’s owner. “He brings a unique background in engineered products, a proven track record of success in senior leadership positions in global markets, and significant experience in acquisitions.  These qualifications make him the ideal candidate to lead PTI into its next stage of growth.”

Moser joins PTI with more than 25 years of experience with Emerson Process Management, the global leader in measurement and analytical instrumentation for the process industries. Most recently, Moser was group vice president of its Rosemount Measurement and Analytical business. Previously, he served in various senior leadership roles as well as general management roles in Europe and Asia. Over the course of his career, his functional responsibilities have included design engineering, sales and marketing, global operations and business development. Earlier in his career Moser served in various technical positions at IBM and Boise Cascade.

Moser says he is excited about the opportunity to lead PTI.

“The company has great momentum and bright prospects,” he says. “I look forward to working closely with Harbour Group and the PTI team to continue to build on this momentum and to create value for customers and investors.”
