The Wyakin Warrior Foundation has released a statement clarifying that it is not associated with the Wounded Warrior Project.

The move comes after last week’s announcement that the Wounded Warrior Project fired two executives for improper use of funds.

“To avoid confusion, we would like to remind our stakeholders, supporters, and the broader community that Wyakin Warrior Foundation has no association or working relationship with Wounded Warrior Project,” says Jeff Bacon, president and co-founder of the Wyakin Warrior Foundation. “While we serve the same community – wounded Veterans – our programs are vastly different.”
