John Minor, COO of Midwest Wheel Companies, will be honored this September as the CVSN 2013 President’s Award Recipient.
The recognition is a continuation of what has already been an exciting year for Midwest Wheel. The company was presented Truck Parts and Service‘s annual Distributor of the Year Award in January.
The President’s Award, started by CVSN past President Ken Duval of Canadian Wheel, recognizes those individuals who have contributed greatly to the heavy-duty aftermarket.
CVSN says Minor has dedicated a tremendous amount of his time and energy for the betterment of independent distributor associations. His involvement with both NWRA and CFS clearly demonstrates the commitment to community and fellowship that are the values at the heart of a strong distributor association like CVSN, the organization says.
“While there are many awards in our industry, only the CVSN President’s Award focuses on the recipient’s contribution through relationships,” says Marc Karon, president of CVSN and Total Truck Parts. “John Minor is, in my opinion, the epitome of what a CVSN member and industry leader should be. His leadership in CFS, and CVSN, his marketing group, and many distributor advisory councils, and his unselfish willingness to help his peers solve problems and become more successful in their businesses, is an inspiration to everyone in our industry and serves as a model for new members.”
CVSN will present Minor with his award during the opening session of the CVSN Aftermarket Distribution Summit on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013 at the Hyatt Vineyard Creek Hotel in Santa Rosa, Calif. This year’s Summit will take place from Sept. 15-18, 2013. For more information, go to www.cvsn.org.
