Fontaine Modification to install CNG systems

Fontaine Mainstay LogosMainstay Fuel Technologies and Fontaine Modification have reached an agreement to provide a turnkey process for the delivery and installation of CNG fuel systems on Class 8 heavy-duty on-highway tractors.

Fontaine will install the back-of-cab and side-saddle CNG fuel storage, management and delivery systems manufactured by Mainstay, the company says. The installations will be performed at Fontaine’s modification centers across the United States.

“Fontaine’s footprint and industry expertise will allow us to better serve our Class 8 fleet customers with a turnkey on-board CNG solution,” says Sam McEntyre, Mainstay COO. “We are honored and excited to collaborate with such a respected industry participant.”

Mainstay manufactures complete CNG fuel storage and delivery systems for Class 6, 7, and 8 heavy-duty trucks. Back-of-cab or side-saddle configurations are available from 30-220 DGE to meet various fleet range requirements, the company says.

“Mainstay’s highly engineered product line offers a range of options to satisfy customers’ needs for onboard CNG tanks,” says Paul Kokalis, president of Fontaine Modification. “With this agreement, our mutual customers will benefit from the combination of Mainstay’s top-quality systems and Fontaine’s fully engineered approach to installations. Our customers will get the complete package.”
