Phillips Industries says its latest product innovation for trailer chassis, Lite-Sentry, can eliminate CSA violations for non-working exterior trailer lights.
One of the most common violations vehicle operators are charged with during road-side inspections is for faulty trailer lights.
With Phillips new Lite-Sentry, drivers know instantly when a trailer light or connection has failed, before it’s caught by CSA inspectors. The Lite-Sentry monitors the exterior trailer lighting for failures and notifies the driver by an indicator light mounted on the front of the trailer so a repair can be made, the company says.
The Lite-Sentry is integrated and completely sealed into a Phillips STA-DRY electrical harness and is designed to work with all 12V LED exterior trailer lighting that draws more than 19 milliamps. Phillips Industries says the current patent-pending Lite-Sentry is for chassis only. Future Lite-Sentry products will be introduced for other trailer configurations, Phillips says.
