Dana releases Spicer aftermarket steering shafts

Spicer steering shafts

Dana Incorporated has delivered a robust, reliable aftermarket solution with its genuine Spicer commercial vehicle (CV) steering shafts.

Constructed of high-quality steel and painted to protect against corrosion, Dana says the line of Spicer steering shafts covers the most popular CV applications.

“Because Dana supplies original-equipment manufacturers (OEM), genuine Spicer CV steering shafts are designed, engineered, and manufactured to the highest quality standards expected by OEMs,” says Bill Nunnery, senior director, sales and marketing, global aftermarket, Dana. “When you replace an original-equipment steering shaft with a genuine Spicer product, you will experience the same reliable performance and durability.”

Spicer CV steering shafts feature a robust design with 710 Nm of torque capacity. The painted steel construction of the steering shafts provides optimum durability, and the Nylon Glidecote coating on the slip spline reduces noise, vibration, and harshness while preventing spline wear and extending service life. Dana says the serviceable design of the shaft, featuring snap-ring-retention universal joints, means only the universal joints need to be replaced rather than the entire steering shaft.

“Spicer steering shafts are ideal for most commercial vehicles on the road today, including part number coverage for popular Volvo applications,” says Nunnery. “To ensure maximum uptime, the most in-demand part numbers are in stock and ready to ship. With longer part life and short lead times, Spicer steering shafts are the ideal solution for Dana aftermarket customers.”
