Lite-Check introduced its Stryker 1000 trailer tester during a press conference Sunday at ATA's Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) Annual Meeting in Nashville.

According to Lite-Check's Skyler Davis, director of product support, the Stryker 1000 is the next generation in trailer testing technologies. Designed to address smart trailer technologies, the Stryker 1000 uses a nine-pin connector and expands on the company's Inspector 930 solution by adding several new key features:

  • A tablet with a touch screen to provide flexibility to meet the needs of users to receive instant information that can be saved.
  • A screen that also shows smart trailer information and trailer operating system data in real time so technicians can diagnose faults immediately.
  • A CAN bus connector for accessing trailer ABS systems to display fault codes and other smart trailer information.
  • The ability to track issues and repairs for a trailer with Lite-Check's cloud-based SENTRY software.
  • Displays beginning and ending screen data, along with the repair, which is downloaded into a SENTRY file, creating a DOT inspection and unit issue history.

"This is specifically designed to target the issues of the future," Davis says. "Lite-Check has always been on the next edge of technology and the Stryker is the next stage of that."
