Haldex combines air management, brake control business units

By Truck Parts & Service Staff

Haldex Commercial Vehicle Systems announced that because of strong synergies between its Brake Controls and Air Management business units, the company is merging the two business units into a new unit called Air Controls Business Unit, which will be managed by Paul Bale.

Additionally, Haldex says it is strengthening its operational focus, with Wim Goossens assuming responsibility for Heidelberg, Germany-based manufacturing and CVS operations in Hungary, while maintaining his current responsibilities for the European distribution facility in Weyersheim, France.

Don Gilmore is assuming responsibility for the company’s North America manufacturing sites in Grand Haven, Mich., and Iola, Kan., along with the U.S. distribution facility in Kansas City, Mo., while also maintaining his Actuators Business Unit responsibilities.

As a result of this business consolidation, Dr. Georg Häussler has decided to leave Haldex in order to pursue other opportunities. Haldex sales will continue to be managed the same as previously, and local Haldex sales representatives can be contacted with any questions.
