PSI director to address the Tire Industry Conference

Al Cohn, director of new market development and engineering support for Pressure Systems International will present “To Inflate or Not to Inflate – Is That Even an Option?” during the 26th annual Tire Industry Conference being held at the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort and Spa April 7-9, 2010.

The conference will address developments throughout the field of tire design, research and manufacturing.

According to the announcement, Cohn’s presentation, scheduled during Session II on Thursday April 8, will address the four major reasons that tires lose air pressure and how that leads to lower fuel economy, early removal miles and more roadside-related service calls. Cohn will discuss how the different inflation systems available in the market – manual systems, central tire inflation, tire pressure monitoring and automatic tire inflation systems – may be able to mitigate the loss of air pressure and the resulting costs associated with it.

His presentation will be followed by a panel discussion.
