Paccar Inc. recently named Fleetline Products to its elite group of suppliers for achieving its ultimate expectation level in quality and warranty performance for 2009. The “50 PPM” Award, which signifies an approval rate equal to or better than 99.995 percent, is based on Fleetline’s parts used in assembly of heavy-duty Class 8 Trucks across all of its North American facilities as well as in warranty claims on trucks already in service.
“Obviously, this is a great accomplishment for our manufacturing personnel,” says Doug Henson, president of Fontaine Spray Suppression, which includes Fleetline Products. “At Fleetline Products, we have reinforced the importance of quality at every opportunity. Nothing advances this message like an award from one of our valued customers like Paccar.”
Cris Clifton, Fleetline’s director of quality and technical services, says Paccar’s recognition is an achievement the company has pursued for four years. “Our operation and our organization are structured from top to bottom to deliver the highest-quality parts every time,” Clifton says. “It’s a great achievement, and everyone on our team has earned a piece of it. You don’t get to ‘50 PPM’ by just being pretty good.”
