Fontaine Releases Fifth-Wheel Video

Fontaine Fifth-Wheel has released a safety video and brochure outlining the proper uses for its newest fifth-wheel products – the Ultra LT, Ultra HD and Ultra HR. The video runs eight and half minutes and features live-action demonstrations for each step of the coupling and uncoupling process. The brochure has photos and instructions.

“A good fifth-wheel connection is critical for the safe operation of a truck and trailer,” says Terry Mennen, Fontaine vice president of sales and marketing. “Our Ultra family of fifth wheels uses a patented lock design that requires specific coupling, sliding and uncoupling procedures. Every operator who drives a truck equipped with a Fontaine Ultra LT, Ultra HD or Ultra HR fifth wheel should review these procedures in order to maximize their safety and performance advantages.”
