Hendrickson Announces Suspension Institute Dates

Hendrickson LogoHendrickson has scheduled the eighth edition of its Hendrickson Vehicle Suspension Institute (HVSI), a technical suspension training for the heavy-duty transportation industry.

The HVSI program provides technicians and parts and service personnel with an orientation for the recommended installation, service, maintenance and repair procedures for newer models of Hendrickson truck and trailer suspensions. More than 270 technicians from the United States and Canada have attended past HVSI sessions in Chicago, Canton, Ohio, Toronto, Montreal and Calgary.
This year’s sessions will be held from April 26 to 29 at the Universal Technical Institute in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. According to Hendrickson, the sessions will include hands-on training of the Primaax and Haulmaax suspensions, as well as the new Composilite SC lift scale.

Hendrickson regional service managers and technical support managers will conduct the training sessions, each of which will last a day and a half. Additional sessions for 2011 are planned and will be announced at a later date.

“The overwhelming feedback on our HVSI program has been outstanding,” says Edward Powderly, aftermarket business unit manager for Hendrickson. “It is our goal to train as many technicians as possible to keep our customers trucks and trailers on the road and in optimum condition.”
