Nelson Global Products is prepared to meet vehicles’ exhaust and tubing demands

Nelson Global Products Inc. has returned to its six decades-plus history and track record of product engineering, quality manufacturing and premium customer service of exhaust and fabricated tube assemblies for the on-highway, off-highway and specialty vehicle markets.

Nelson Global Products globally manufactures exhaust systems and fabricated tube products such as EGR, charged air tubes, coolant tubes, exhaust tubes and its newest line of Thermal Management Tubing (TMT) to support the thermal requirements of complex diesel emissions systems. The operation was owned and operated for 13 years by Cummins Inc.

“Nelson is a powerful brand name and it’s back in a big way to serve OEM and aftermarket customers around the world,” says Tom Gosnell, chief executive officer of Nelson Global Products.

“Our extensive engineering team offers customers vast industry-market-and-application knowledge of multi-vehicles and multi-vocations, and our track record of collaborating and partnering with major customers is outstanding and held in high esteem by our customers,” he says.

“Plus our entire 1,300 member workforce is excited about the market challenges and proving once again – with our rich heritage, that we are the technology leader in the global exhaust arena,” Gosnell adds.

Gosnell has assembled a management team including Kevin Stokstad, sales director; Frank Gould, engineering team leader; Tim Rusch, operations; and Sue Vanderbilt, finance. Other senior key executives include Rob Guy, Doug Dole, John Wehrenberg, Joe Freeman, Ed Whipp, Rich Whipp and Rodger Butler.

The firm is a portfolio company of Wind Point Partners, a private equity firm headquartered in Chicago.

“We will re-elevate the powerful brand of Nelson exhaust-emissions products,” says Gosnell. “This is a very exciting opportunity for us to invest in a business which is central to our growth strategy and has significant opportunity for us to improve our service, product offerings and cost-levels to meet the expectations of our OEM customers.”
