VETS (Visco-Elastic Trailer Seal) is a new, patent-pending design for dry van trailer door seals that is said to provide improved sealing and durability. Made from automotive-grade pure EPDM rubber approved for exterior applications, VETS maintains its sealing throughout temperature extremes and resists breakage, the company says.
The manufacturer of VETS, Press-Seal Gasket Corporation, Fort Wayne, Indiana, has more than 50 years of experience in manufacturing rubber gaskets. Press-Seal uses state-of-the-art splicing equipment to bond the corner joints, maintaining the strength of the rubber throughout the seal. VETS are supplied in pairs, with corners already spliced, making installation on existing doors simple and easy, the company explains.
