Velvac Inc. has announced its 2020XG mirrors are now available as a factory option on all 2011 Ford medium-duty F-650 and F-750 trucks.
According to the company, Velvac’s 2020XG mirror system offers advanced safety, durability, and styling features, with options available for both 96-inch and 102-inch body widths on Ford’s popular chassis cabs.
The manually adjustable 2020XG features a large flat glass and convex glass viewing area, giving driver’s continuous visibility of passing lanes and eliminating key blind spots around the vehicle, Velvac says. A pivot system with an adjustable home feature allows the mirrors to fold forward or back for transportation, or upon impact, and to be easily returned to the home driving position.
“With its class-leading visibility, superior durability, and distinctive styling, the 2020XG is a perfect fit for Ford’s new F-650 and F-750 line,” says Jeffery Porter, Velvac’s president and CEO. “Velvac engineers designed the 2020XG specifically to meet FMVSS 111 vision requirements for wide-body trucks and vans. The glass system is 15 percent to 20 percent wider than conventional ‘West Coast’ truck mirrors, a feature that drivers tell us they really appreciate because of its greater field-of view.”
