The new Model 460 engine brake was developed by Jacobs in conjunction with Cummins engineers to provide an engine brake which offers more retarding performance, less weight, fewer components and lower height than the Model 411E engine brake for the ISM engine.
The Model 460 is rated between 346 and 390 horsepower at 1,900 and 2,100 rpm respectively and will be offered as optional equipment, comprising of two engine brake housings and special exhaust valve bridges.
