Eaton disaster relief grant to help Arkansas flood relief efforts

Eaton5Eaton Corp. announced a disaster relief grant of $25,000 to benefit the American Red Cross to help provide relief for communities affected by a disaster where Eaton employees live and work. The recent flooding around North Central Arkansas has been labeled a major disaster area by the federal government, with various Eaton employees being affected by this disaster.

Eaton’s facility in Searcy, Ark., which the company has operated since 1999, is part of the Hydraulics Group and employs about 350 people. The donation, along with local employee donations and fund-raising efforts totaling $1,700, will be used to help in relief efforts for victims of the massive flooding earlier this year.

“Eaton Corporation is dedicated to community involvement, and this disaster relief grant is our way of showing that we care about our friends and neighbors,” says Rob Williams, Searcy plant manager. ”It’s not just about our employees, but about the communities in which they live as well.”
