Phillips Industries has been selected to receive the Daimler Trucks North America Masters of Quality Award for the third time.
Phillips Industries was recognized for its efforts in meeting the rigid requirements and expectations for suppliers to Daimler Trucks North America. Phillips Industries supplies cab harnesses, trailer cables and other related products to DTNA.
“Daimler promotes quality as a routine part of their business. For Phillips to regularly gain recognition from them for our own quality is a testament to the continuous improvement programs put in place by everyone here,” says Bob Phillips, president of Phillips Industries. “Daimler is a valued customer, and we are committed to continue meeting the quality goals they set for their suppliers.”
DTNA presents the Masters of Quality Award annually to an elite group of suppliers who meet the company’s rigorous standards and also show a commitment for continual improvement. Daimler’s suppliers are evaluated semi-annually on more than 100 criteria related to quality, service, aftermarket parts availability, engineering, warranty and purchasing; and only those rated at the top are recognized with the award, the company says.
