Demonstration vehicles will be equipped with the following Meritor Wabco Active Safety Systems technologies:
* SmartTrac Stability Control System – a suite of proven anti-lock braking, automatic traction control and stability control systems that can assist the driver in maintaining control of the vehicle in response to an impeding loss of directional or roll stability reducing the risk of such events.
* OnGuard Collision Safety System – a forward-looking radar-based collision safety system that detects objects in a vehicle’s path and automatically dethrottles the engine and applies the engine and service brakes when it senses a possible rear-end collision. With more than 12,000 units sold, the system continues to help improve commercial vehicle safety.
