Mitchell 1 has awarded a full one-year subscription to Repair-Connect.net to the grand champion of TMC’s Supertech 2011 National Technician Skills Competition, two-time champion Jeffrey Schlecht from the Omaha Truck Center, Norfolk, Neb.
Repair-Connect.net, a web-based diagnostic program, is Mitchell 1’s newest on-line service information program. With his new subscription to Repair-Connect.net, Schlecht will merely need to enter a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) for any brand of truck into the main page of Repair-Connect to immediately gain access to the proper information required to fix the problem identified by the code.
Mitchell 1 has been a sponsor of the SuperTech national competitions since their inception and each year Mitchell 1 has run the Service Information skills station, testing competitors on their ability to use computers and web-based programs to diagnose and fix vehicles properly, the company says. In addition to its involvement at the national level, Mitchell 1 also supports and participates in many state technician skills competitions.
