Phillips Industries has hired Tom Pittam to fill the new position of global sales representative in Asia. Pittam will report directly to Travis Hopkey, global business development manager and will be responsible for continuing Phillips’ growing presence in the Asia region.
“In order to grow our business in S.E. Asia it was important for us to have experienced people on the ground representing the Phillips brand,” says Hopkey. “(Pittam) brings an invaluable background versed in both the region’s cultural customs as well as the requirements of the local transportation industry. This experience should serve us well.”
Pittam brings more than 30 years of experience working in the transportation sector to his new position at Phillips. In his last position he was a technical director and marketing manager for Yomming Auto and Industrial Equipment in Kuala Lumpur.
