Meritor Inc. and Pressure Systems International announced that Dorsey Trailer has chosen the Meritor Tire Inflation System by PSI as its standard automatic tire inflation option. Dorsey, a manufacturer of multiple trailer designs for the heavy-duty transportation industry, has offered MTIS on their trailers for more than a decade.

Dorsey manufactures composite/steel flatbed, dry vans, reefers, electronics vans and deep-drop furniture vans at an 80,000-square-foot facility in Elba, Ala.
MTIS is an automatic system with constant air pressure available when needed, so no driver or maintenance manager interaction is required. The ThermAlert option is designed to warn drivers of excessive wheel end heat, which helps avoid trailer fires or wheel end damage. MTIS is compatible with the Meritor Wabco PLC Display for tractor-trailer communications as well as other telematic devices.
