Fontaine Trailer Co., a provider of platform trailers, now offers the patented RASR Routed Aluminum SideRail on its 2012 line of Infinity platform, dropdeck and twistlock container trailers. The RASR siderail is a one-piece aluminum extrusion designed to be lighter than steel while better withstanding impact damage. Fontaine says the design offers faster, easier and more convenient load securement and greater durability.
The entire Infinity line is constructed with fabricated steel mainbeams and steel crossbracing with aluminum siderails, floor and rear skirt, facilitating a more durable trailer that delivers added strength, weight and economy. Infinity mainbeams are built with grade 130 flanges and welded continuously on both sides.
