Betts Spring to present new mud flap hanger

Betts Spring is displaying its spring-loaded mud flap hangers with integrated conspicuity tape this week at the American Trucking Associations’ TMC annual meeting in Tampa.

According to Betts, the creation of the hanger was motivated by new CSA initiatives designed to meet and exceed conspicuity requirements.

Betts’ spring-loaded mud flap hangers with conspicuity strips on the main body of the hanger contribute to meeting these requirements, the company says. Integrated conspicuity is said to eliminate the need for separate conspicuity strips and saves weight because there is no need for an additional extended hanger body to display conspicuity tape.

Betts’ proprietary pent roof hanger design results in higher strip placement on the hanger body, which aligns the conspicuity strip directly with trailing drivers’ line of sight, which the company says increases reflection and visibility.

For customers requiring conspicuity strips to add to existing equipment, Betts Springs says it offers lightweight, aluminum conspicuity strips designed to attach properly with Betts and most competitive straight and angled hangers.
