According to Bar’s Leaks, Liquid Copper works by forming a physical seal at the site of the leak using organic and synthetic fibers, copper and an ionic-modified sealant. The seal is then permanently cemented in place with liquid glass. The company says Liquid Copper will not harm the cooling system when properly installed, nor will it clog the heater core.
Liquid Copper can be used in any water-cooled vehicle, including cars, trucks, vans, SUVs and RVs, Bar’s Leaks says. It is compatible with all types of coolant, including yellow, orange, pink, red, blue and green silicate-based and non-silicate-based (OAT/HOAT) antifreeze and/or water. It is available to distribution in case packs of six 18 oz. bottles.
