Heavy-duty alignment stands available

Ari-Hetra has announced of the portable Model ALS-18 heavy-duty alignment stands. These stands are to be used in conjunction with the HDML Mobile Lifting System, providing a portable solution for heavy-duty alignment that does not require a dedicated service bay, the company says.

The ALS-18 stands are said to provide ample under vehicle access making it easy to inspect, adjust and replace steering and suspension components during an alignment, according to Ari-Hetra. They are said to be easy to move using a pallet jack and can be put away when the alignment procedure is complete.

The ALS-18 stands work with the Ari-Hetra HDML Mobile Lifting System providing more versatility than a dedicated alignment rack, the company says. Ari-Hetra offers both turn plates and slip plates.

To begin the alignment procedure, the technician should use an HDML Mobile Lifting System to raise the vehicle. Using a pallet jack, he then positions each alignment stand under the desired tire of the vehicle. To ensure the alignment stands are level, the technician adjusts the feet while viewing the built-in bubble levels. The alignment stands will self-center to the wheels of the vehicle and built in wheel stops improve safety, the company says. From this point the vehicle will be sitting on the turn plates and slip plates and ready for the alignment procedure.
