A member of the data management leadership team at Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC is among the presenters at Siemens PLM Connection 2012, being held May 7-10 in Las Vegas. Marc Sotak, Bendix CAD coordinator – systems and processes, will present “Pro/Engineer CAD Data Migration to Teamcenter” at the event.
According to Bendix the annual conference will bring together approximately 2,000 members of the worldwide Siemens product lifecycle management (PLM) software user community to share best practices, attend training sessions, and join in more than 450 technical presentations. Siemens PLM Connection is organized by PLM World, an independent, nonprofit group whose mission is to provide an open forum for the exchange of ideas among the global users of the Siemens PLM software product environment.
PLM software manages the data associated with the design, production, and support of manufactured goods. The collaborative tool coordinates the storing and sharing of data throughout the lifecycle of a product, Bendix says.
“Bendix is excited to be part of the world’s leading PLM conference,” says Richard Beyer, Bendix vice president, engineering and R&D. “The commercial vehicle industry knows Bendix for innovative technology that helps increase truck safety, efficiency, and reliability. Sotak’s presentation will describe how he and his team created a customized PLM solution for Bendix. The project consolidated data from the multiple, separate computer-aided design (CAD) systems in use at the company into Bendix’s existing, single in-house package, the company says. The team also provided training for end-users and offers ongoing support.
