Jacobs Vehicle Systems has signed a development agreement with one of India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturers. As Jacobs continues to focus on expanding its global footprint, the company says its signing of this development agreement represents its strategic initiative to expand its technology into emerging markets. Jacobs says this activity supports the pending regulations for auxiliary retarding requirements on commercial vehicles.
“As our first-development customer in India, this expansion is part of Jacobs’ growth strategy into emerging markets and will require a strong collaboration between both companies to ensure a successful product launch,” says Bob Perkins, vice president of marketing and business development.
