The Timken Co. has introduced a “Think Orange” promotion for its online technician training course. The program recognizes technicians with award patches, certificates and apparel for completing the Timken Tech Series online training course. Additionally, technicians receive an entry to win a $500 gift card for each of the seven modules completed.
The “Think Orange” promotion runs through Nov. 30. Timken plans to award one gift card each month. Upon completion of any training module, technicians become eligible to win in any subsequent month.
“Through our interactions at the distributor and repair shop level, we consistently hear the need for manufacturers to provide training,” says Barry Harris, global manager of marketing, cataloging and strategy for the Timken automotive and commercial vehicle aftermarket. “We introduced our Timken Tech Series more than five years ago, and it continues to be well received at the installer level and at vocational schools. The training, which has become more comprehensive through the years, provides fundamental knowledge delivered by industry experts to help the installer become more proficient in bearing and seal maintenance and troubleshooting.”
