Phillips wins DTNA Masters of Quality award

Updated Sep 10, 2012

Phillips Industries’ Manufactura Zapaliname located in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico has been selected to receive DTNA’s Masters of Quality Award for 2011.

In operation since 2007, Phillips says Saltillo now joins the company’s California facility (a three-time Masters of Quality winner) in meeting DTNA high-quality standards.

According to Phillips, DTNA presents the Masters of Quality Award annually to a group of suppliers who meet its standards and also show a commitment for continual improvement. The suppliers are evaluated semi-annually on more than 100 criteria related to quality, service, aftermarket parts availability, engineering, warranty and purchasing; and only those rated at the top are recognized with this award, Phillips says.

“Opening the facility in Saltillo has turned out to be a significant move for our company.  The people there have met all our expectations, and obviously those of customers; it is reflected in this latest quality award,” says Rob Phillips, Phillips vice president of global operations. “Phillips Industries always takes pride in receiving DTNA’s quality recognition and we’re very pleased that the Saltillo site has now been included as a recipient. We will continue to improve and grow this operation to meet the growing global demand for Phillips products.”
